How did you meet your partner? Tell us about your love story…

I invited myself to his 21st after seeing it as a public event on Facebook and the rest is history. Dave popped the question on our 10-year anniversary in Queenstown

Tell us about your wedding day, your vision and the style…

Dave and I always intended to have a small ceremony, so eloping was an easy decision for us.  The hard part of eloping was who to have at witnesses, as naturally with family things can snowball quickly. So, our only witnesses were our friends Amy and Trav who had been together for 20 years but never married. We then swapped around and were  witnesses for them! (A two for one wedding.) It was so nice to take the pressure away and have the ceremony the way we intended it, filled with tequila shots and laughter.
 
Due to COVID we had actually cancelled our wedding after party, but last minute our family and friends pulled together to have a celebratory BBQ and drinks later on in the afternoon. Looking back now we wouldn't have had it any other way.

What Chaos & Harmony Shoes did you purchase for your wedding and why?

The Chichi Heel in Pink Feather. I loved the simple heel design with pop of colour and fun feathers.

How did the shoes make you feel?

Fabulous! They were so easy to walk in, even through the thick grass and on the sand.

Did the suit or shoes come first and how did you style them with the dress?

The shoes actually came first! I was lucky enough to have them arrive while I was having my wedding dress finalised. I brought them along to one of my fittings and my designer, Lulu Jackson Bridal, loved them so much she convinced me to have my dress slightly shorter so we could see the heels entirely. 

Did you buy the shoes with the intention to wear them again? If so, have you?

Yes, I haven’t worn them again yet, but I definitely intend to!
Also a huge thank you to all my vendors, even though the plans were changed because of Covid, everyone still pulled together to make our day so special.
