Ella & Cam- wearing the Eternal Heel Powder Blue
How did you meet your partner? Tell us about your love story…
We met in high school at age 16 and have been together for 10 years, totally high school sweethearts. I went to Tauranga Girls College, and he went to Tauranga Boys, we then went on to university together and now live together in working in Wellington. He is my best friend and it so special to have grown up together.
Tell us about your wedding day, your vision and the style…
We had our wedding on the same road my parents live and the road I grew up on which felt both really comfortable and special.(also made it low stress). We wanted a garden or outdoor venue so that the natural greenery and trees could provide a relaxed and natural vibe. We also wanted our day to feel happy, so our decorations, table settings and florals were all bright wildflower themed. Our flowers were all grown by my Mum and her friends in their gardens. My sister who is an artist painted all our wedding signs, one of my bridesmaids hand knitted my bridal cardigan and my mum made our cake. This all felt incredibly special having important people in our lives make a sentimental mark on our special day.
What Chaos & Harmony Shoes did you purchase for your wedding and how did the shoes make you feel?
I wanted a bright pop of colour hidden under my dress to add to our happy colourful feel. I chose the eternal heel in baby blue. This became my “something blue” and the inspiration for mybridesmaid’s dress – who I matched to the colour of the shoe. They made me feel like me. I wore a very classic A Line gown with a big train which I adored, and the pop of colourunderneath really reflected my own personal style.
Did the suit or shoes come first and how did you style them with the dress?
Dress first, however my sister wore Chaos & Harmony shoes on her wedding day, which she found really comfortable, so I didn’t even look anywhere else! I love the fact they aren’t particularly bridal, and I can’t wait for next summer to wear with summer dresses and to other weddings.
