How did you meet your partner? Tell us about your love story…
We met on Bumble about 2.5 years ago. Scott was living in The Mount (my hometown), and I was living in Auckland (Scott’s hometown). We were each in the opposite city for the weekend visiting our families and our paths crossed on Bumble. We matched and planned to meet when I was back in The Mount in a few weeks, then lockdown hit in August 2021, so we ended up talking for 7 weeks until we could meet in person. We hit it off instantly, I packed up my life in Auckland to move back to The Mount, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Tell us about your wedding day, your vision and the style…
We decided to get married about 6 weeks before our wedding day! We wanted something relaxed, low key and stress free, so we planned a small beachside wedding with immediate family and a few friends, followed by drinks and a BBQ dinner. We wanted to fit in with the seaside surroundings and the relaxed nature of the day, so we kept it pretty simple but chose a few key pieces as highlights.
What Chaos & Harmony Shoes did you purchase for your wedding and how did the shoes make you feel?
I chose the Lover Pearl Heel in Snow. They are simple and elegant, with a touch of glam, which is exactly what I wanted.
I absolutely love the shoes! I felt like a princess, but didn’t feel too overdressed for the setting. I think the beauty of this shoe is it could be dressed up or down depending on the dress and accessories. When the photographer left she told me I could take my shoes off now, but I said absolutely not. I wore them right through the night and danced until 1am. They were so comfortable and I wanted to stay in them all night!
Did the suit or shoes come first and how did you style them with the dress?
The dress came first, then Chaos & Harmony was a natural choice for shoes. I think the simplicity of the style really added to the dress and they suited each other perfectly. After choosing the shoes, I added pearl earrings to finish the look.
