Poppy & Nick wearing the Evermore Heel in Snow
How did you meet your partner? Tell us about your love story…
Nick and I met in 2013 in our hometown of Warrnambool, Victoria. Due to Warrnambool being a small town we crossed paths and dated for a while before Nick finally asked me to be his girlfriend in mid-2014. Again, as Warrnambool is a tight knit community, I already knew of a few people in Nick’s social circle, and vice versa. We really both started dating in our ‘young and free’ era, but finally decided to make it official after what felt like 12 months of dating.
Tell us about your wedding day, your vision and the style…
Classic and simple. I always thought I wanted a boho style wedding dress, although after trying on a number of dresses I realised classic was more me. We really didn’t have a lot of inspiration to begin with, so we kept black and white colours for most of our designs and approaches. So, when it came to the ceremony location, the green and floral background really did the work for us!
What Chaos & Harmony Shoes did you purchase for your wedding and how did the shoes make you feel?
Evermore High Heel. I wanted to keep really classic and have a heel that was around the mid-range in terms of height. I was originally going to go with a pearl heel (as they were big during the planning process), although I am so glad I went with the Evermore pair as they were classic and timeless, and definitely not a pair I will ever sell (as I see a lot of brides do this now).
Did the suit or shoes come first and how did you style them with the dress?
The dress came first, and I think the dress really helped guide my decision with the shoes in the end!
